O’TOOLE WITH ASSISTANCE CONVICT’S CHILD RAPIST
On October 18, 2023, Ashtabula County Prosecutor, Colleen M. O’Toole with the assistance of Assistant Prosecutors, Christopher Fortunato and Matthew Hebebrand, won a seven-count indictment against Defendant, David DuBois for six counts of rape and one count of disseminating obscenity to a minor.
The jury heard testimony for three (3) days and found the Defendant, David DuBois, guilty after deliberating for close to a full day.
Dubois was found guilty on all four rape counts each carrying a life sentence because the victim was under thirteen when the rape occurred. The other two rapes are punishable by eleven 11 to Sixteen and a half (16.5) years in prison. The defendant will spend a minimum of four (4)
life sentences in jail.
