PROSECUTOR O’TOOLE UPDATES WEBSITE & OUTREACH EFFORTS
Jefferson, Ohio – August 29, 2024 – Ashtabula County Prosecutor Colleen O’Toole announced new outreach efforts to update the Ashtabula County Prosecutor Office’s website, so residents have more accessible resources.
For the first time in Ashtabula County history, public notices of foreclosure proceedings in Ashtabula County brought in the name of the county treasurer to foreclose on tax liens will be posted on the Ashtabula County Prosecutor Office’s website. In the past, notices of foreclosure have only been published in the local newspaper.
“It’s time that this caught up with modern times,” said Prosecutor O’Toole. “People get their information from more than just the newspapers these days. Ashtabula residents should be able to access their case notice online, just like everything else.”
Notices of foreclosure will not only continue to be published in the newspaper but will also be posted on the Ashtabula County Prosecutor Office’s website. The Notice of Foreclosure page will host notices until one year after the date a judgment is rendered under Ohio Revised Code 5721.19.
Besides notices of foreclosure, the Ashtabula County Prosecutor Office’s website will have a media inquiry page for all public relations needs and an updated staff directory. Its social media pages will also be improved and share the latest information. Prosecutor O’Toole’s Office will continue to provide accessibility and transparency for Ashtabula residents.
